COME ON,THINK OF IT

Why should Pakistan deny the involvement of their citizens in the Mumbai
massacre of the innocents ?What is the problem in upholding the cause of
humanity .So many people lost their lives for no mistake of theirs. Why
resort to an unbecoming showdown when so many families have been
totally ruined and devastated. What is there in telling the truth when
much of evidence has fixed the roles of the persons involved. If those
young men were not from Pakistan,from where did they come and how they
were in touch with the bosses in Pakistan even as they were gunning down
the people at will.For heavens sake, Pakistan should be merciful
on the kin of those who died for no fault of their own. In fact, the
Pakistani government must announce an ex-gratia payment to the kin of those
gunned down by non chalant intruders.
The greatness of Islamic Pakistan lay in helping the victims` kin find the
real culprits behind the carnage and even provide succor to the poor men women and children . The Pakistani nation would have gone up in estimation of world community instantaneously.
Does not the present Pakistan government fear its free press and right thinking people like Asma Jahangir. Now the time has come for the hardcore elements in
the state to ponder over the wrath of almighty Allah. God forbid,what Pakistan
would do should similar situaion is faced by Pakistan in future when India's
help becomesd necessary for Pakistan.
United states would do well to drive home this fact to Pakistan.

OBAMA, THE GREAT

I hardly had time to write about my feelings over the election of Obama as the first black President of the United tates.Yes,kudos to a country which has certainly entered a new era of history by choosing a man to head their country whose ancestors were slaves and were being so harshly treated accordinlgly a few generations ago.Obama cerainlty represents a generation of blacks who have come along way from the dark days and can do as well as

any body else.

I need not eleborate on this any more,but the young 47 -yea r-old President has made it amply clear that he would use more of brain than brawn in international relations.Obviously,so

far unlike his immediate predecessor he exudes confidence of a

big nation but tempered with grace and tolerance.His body language, process of thinking and method acting set him apart from usually arrogant postures of persons in any powerful position.Postionwise,

need not to say that he is head and shoulders above any one howsover powerful in the rest of the world.That is the reason, how he has so soon endeared himself to all and sundry and made him a global grand figure so soon.We are watching him closely.His policies and ways of administration can be discussed some other time.
